Solar panels take the energy from the sun and convert that light energy into usable clean forms of energy. There are 3 types of solar technologies, with photovoltaics being the most commonly used and most useful in regard to this topic. Within the solar panel there are silicon N and P sheets that are combined together by electrons which forms the electron field. When sunlight hits these panels the electron bonds are broken and the electrons then generate energy by moving back to their side of the silicon layers. This energy can be taken and then be distributed into useable forms of energy, such as lights, phone charging stations, and stoves. This technology once expanded can have a positive impact on areas which lack energy and can help improve the well being of many people.
